About She Stitches
Greetings! I am the owner of She Stitches, a woman owned, disability active, sewing shop I operate from my home in a designated area. Despite my disability, I am skilled in creating a diverse range of home and personal goods that are sure to impress whether for use or display.
I have been sewing since childhood and have also developed a passion for knitting and crocheting. I like to switch up depending on my abilities each day - sewing during the day and needlework at night to relax in the quiet of my mind. I like to create quilts & recently found the art of rag quilting. Though I'm a traditionalist myself, I do find the beauty in the rag items. I sew pillows of every possible color & style & I make gorgeous aroma filled sachets. I make reusable grocery totes which could easily be used as hobby bags for your own art, knitting or crochet projects. I've been dabbling in other types of sewing but will hold off on announcing until I'm more proficient.

I picked up knitting & crocheting half a lifetime ago. I started out with a granny square afghan, I mean who doesn't right? From there I progressed to making altered size afghans for specific uses. Then onto pillows & coasters & scarfs, hats & cardigans to be worn. I've knitted hats, baby sweaters, booties & big girl sweaters as well. Though I love the rhythm of knitting, I find it to be a bit slower than my other two skills. But nothing matches a hand knitted cardigan for comfort or the perfect fit beanie to flop on your head so, I commit & complete.

We are a non-smoking, pet companion loving home. Though my companions are not allowed to borrow my finished goods or allowed to roll around in my lavender buds or fill material, they are allowed to come for the 100,00 hugs and snuggles they demand each day.
So, if you're looking for high-quality handmade items, you've come to the right place! If you like to read a blog with your morning coffee, I'll provide a post a week and go from there. If looking around is your thing to either replicate an item or to get a feel for what you would like to purchase or custom order, feel free to look around. If you enjoy window shopping and consider yourself a stitcher, I welcome tips on how "I" can better enhance my overall skill set. If there is something you don't see or you have any suggestions, feel free to chat me up or email me at shestitches4u@yahoo.com .
Thanks for stopping by & I look forward to seeing you in the future.
