I have always loved the colors of the Aztec / Mexican culture.  It's always bright & colorful & can be found throughout their culture in everything from their Casa colors to clothing, art & and anything in between.  The vibrancy is hard to compete with & I love how it makes me feel.

This shawl accidentally fell into this colorway.  I was trying to use up bits & scraps of yarn and before you know, I was creating an Aztec color inspired shawl.  I used a 4-ply worsted weight yarn throughout in colors of goldenrod, orange, rust, 2 sage greens, lavender, a couple of different blues & a strip of tan.

The pattern speaks for itself & is quite beautiful although many pictures have been provided for you to get a good look of it.    The shawl has been washed and dried & I'm so pleasantly surprised at how soft my shawls come out of the dryer.

Shawls are great for cool winter mornings or chilly moments when you might to close to air conditioning.  Throw over your shoulders to go check the mail or snuggle on the couch with a good book.  No matter how you use your shawl, you will soon find out the convenience of being able to grab & go becomes addictive.

This shawl measures 58" from neck to lower back & has a wingspan of 110" & I would say this is a medium to medium-light weight.
